Jose Luis Lescano

Official Tour Guide (1999), Tourism and Hospitality Administrator (2006), and Wildlife Cameraman. In his early years, he dedicated himself to nature guiding with a specialization in orchids and birds in the central jungle of Peru. Since 2006, he has worked on Tourism and Conservation consulting for projects funded by the State, the World Bank, as well as the European Union. He has also served as a teacher in various Higher Institutes of Tourism, teaching courses such as Guiding Techniques, Tourism Fundamentals, Orchid Tourism, and Birdwatching Tourism, among others.

His contribution to society and the environment is carried out through his non-profit project: Avistando Peru, the first project in Peru to promote environmental conservation through birdwatching.

Cristina Jaimes Cabrejo

Administrator, explorer, and specialist in videographic material editing and social media management. Her initial work took place in areas of social conflict within the Peruvian jungle, where she was involved in alternative development projects funded by the European Union.
Her passion for tourism and nature led her to lead tourist groups through various parts of Peru for over a decade, including explorations, hikes, and journeys through the Peruvian Andes.
Currently, she is dedicated to co producing episodes and documentaries for the first birdwatching channel in Peru: Avistando Peru.

Mauricio Ugarte Lewis

Ornithologist, researcher, and consultant in environmental and tourism issues. Currently, he serves as the curator of the Ornithology Department at the Museum of Natural History of the National University of San Agustín (MUSA) and has been an associated researcher since 2003. With 20 years of experience in various areas of ornithology, he has participated as a principal investigator and co-investigator in the field of the environmental sciences, both nationally and internationally.

In 2005, he co-founded the Taricaya banding station in Madre de Dios. In 2007, he completed the bird banding training program at the Klamath Bird Observatory (Oregon, USA), where he was certified as a bird trainer and bander by the North American Banding Council. Additionally, he is a board member of the Peruvian Ornithologists Union (UNOP) and the Committee of Bird Records of Peru (CRAP).
